Standard trainers are not built for cycling — the soft, flexible sole flexes under pedal pressure and disperses the power you're putting in, causing fatigue on longer rides. These cycling shoes have a rigid nylon composite sole that transfers pedal input efficiently, a rotating BOA-style dial buckle that lets you dial in a precise fit on the move, and a breathable leather upper with ventilation holes throughout. Available in mountain, road, and flat (unlocked) sole configurations, they cover the full range of riding styles.

Why It Stands Out

Three sole options — Mountain (SPD), Highroad (SPD), and Unlocked (flat rubber) — one shoe body available in the sole configuration that matches your pedal system, so you get the right grip and clip-in compatibility for your riding style.

Rotating BOA-style dial buckle — pull the dial out to release, rotate clockwise to tighten, and dial in micro-adjustments for a precise, consistent fit without stopping to retie laces. Flexible elastic retraction keeps the cable neat.

Nylon composite outsole — rigid enough to transfer power efficiently to the pedal without flex, while remaining lighter than a full carbon sole for everyday and long-distance riding.

Leather upper with porous bilateral ventilation — the one-piece moulded leather upper has ventilation holes on both sides that allow airflow to circulate around the foot during riding, keeping feet from overheating.

EVA insole — cushioned insole that provides a comfortable base for long-duration riding without adding unnecessary weight.

Cotton lining — soft interior lining that sits comfortably against the foot during extended wear.

True-to-size fit, medium width (B/M) — confirmed true to size across the EU 37–47 range with a detailed foot length chart for accurate sizing.

Why It Stands Out

Where They Work Best

The mountain (SPD) sole is designed for off-road and trail riding where a recessed cleat lets you walk on the shoe without the cleat contacting the ground. The highroad (SPD) sole suits road cycling and spin sessions where maximum power transfer is the priority. The unlocked flat rubber sole works for casual cycling, commuting, and any riding where clip-in pedals are not used. All three sole types share the same upper construction, dial buckle system, and breathable design.

How the Dial Buckle System Works

The rotating dial buckle works by threading a thin internal cable through guides around the upper of the shoe. Rotating the dial clockwise pulls the cable, tightening the upper evenly across the width of the foot. Micro-adjustments can be made while riding without removing the shoe or stopping. To release, pull the dial outward to disengage the ratchet, at which point the cable releases and the shoe opens fully. The elastic retraction system keeps the cable from bunching inside the shoe when open.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe the upper with a damp cloth after each ride to remove dirt and sweat. Allow to air dry fully before storing — do not place near direct heat sources as heat can warp the sole or damage the dial buckle cable. Store with the buckle in the open (released) position to reduce tension on the internal cable during storage. Clean the sole periodically to maintain cleat engagement quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Mountain, Highroad, and Unlocked sole options?
The Mountain sole has a recessed SPD cleat mount for off-road and trail riding, allowing you to walk without the cleat touching the ground. The Highroad sole has an SPD road cleat mount for maximum power transfer on road bikes and spin bikes. The Unlocked flat rubber sole has no cleat mount and is suitable for casual cycling, commuting, and flat pedals.
How does the rotating dial buckle work?
Rotate the dial clockwise to tighten the upper evenly around the foot. Pull the dial outward to release and open the shoe fully. Micro-adjustments can be made while riding without stopping. The elastic retraction system keeps the internal cable tidy when the shoe is open.
Do these shoes run true to size?
Yes — these shoes are confirmed true to size across EU 37–47. Measure your bare foot from heel to longest toe and match to the size chart on this page. For wide feet, consider sizing up by one.
Are cleats included?
No — cleats are not included. The Mountain and Highroad sole variants are compatible with standard SPD cleats, which are purchased separately and match your pedal system.
Are these suitable for indoor spin or Peloton bikes?
The Highroad SPD sole option is compatible with spin and road bike pedal systems that accept SPD cleats. Check your bike’s pedal cleat type before selecting a sole option.
What colours and sizes are available?
Available in Black, White, and Red. Sizes run EU 37–47 across all three colours.
