Every gunshot at the range or in the field exposes your hearing to a pressure wave that accumulates damage over time — yet standard passive earmuffs cut you off from the range commands, hunting calls, and conversation happening around you. These electronic earmuffs solve both problems at once: the built-in sound amplification circuit keeps ambient sounds clear and natural up to 82 dB, then the sound-activated compression circuit engages in 0.02 seconds to suppress anything louder, delivering 23 dB NRR of protection exactly when you need it.
Why It Stands Out
✓ 23 dB NRR noise reduction — the sound-activated compression (SAC) circuit suppresses sounds above 82 dB in 0.02 seconds, protecting hearing during shooting without blocking out normal conversation.
✓ 2 omnidirectional microphones — pick up ambient sound from all directions and feed it through the full dynamic range HD speakers so you stay aware of your surroundings at the range or in the field.
✓ 3.5 mm audio input jack — connect a phone or media player directly to the earmuffs to listen to audio through the built-in HD speakers while wearing them.
✓ ProForm leather ear seals with memory foam — the ear cup lining conforms to the shape of your head for a consistent acoustic seal and extended wearing comfort without plastic or vinyl against the skin.
✓ Foldable wire frame headband — the adjustable padded headband collapses inward for compact storage in a bag, range case, or jacket pocket between sessions.
✓ Runs on 2 × AAA batteries — widely available batteries with no charging required; independent volume controls on each ear cup let you adjust amplification level to suit the environment.

Where They Earn Their Place
These electronic earmuffs are designed for shooters and hunters who need active hearing protection rather than passive blocking. At an indoor or outdoor shooting range, the SAC circuit suppresses gunfire while keeping range commands and conversations audible. Hunters in the field benefit from amplified ambient sound that makes animal movement and footsteps easier to detect, with automatic suppression when a shot is fired. They also work for power tool operators, construction workers, and anyone who needs to stay situationally aware while working around loud intermittent noise sources.
How the Electronic Hearing Protection Works
The two omnidirectional microphones on the outside of the ear cups continuously capture ambient sound and pass it through the sound-activated compression (SAC) circuit. Below 82 dB — the threshold for normal conversation, range commands, and environmental sounds — the circuit amplifies and transmits audio clearly through the HD speakers inside each ear cup. The moment a sound exceeds 82 dB, the SAC circuit compresses the audio signal in 0.02 seconds, reducing it to a safe level before it reaches your ears. When the loud sound ends, the circuit releases and returns to normal amplification mode automatically. The 3.5 mm audio jack allows a separate audio source to feed through the same speaker system while the protection circuit remains fully active.

Setup and Use
Install 2 × AAA batteries in the battery compartment located on the outside of one ear cup. Turn the volume knob to power on — a click indicates the unit is active. Adjust the headband by extending or retracting each arm until the ear cups sit evenly over both ears with the memory foam seals flush against the head. Set the volume to a comfortable amplification level using the single-button volume control. To connect an external audio source, insert a 3.5 mm audio cable into the input jack and cover it with the protective cap when not in use. Fold the headband inward by collapsing the wire frame arms before storing.

Care and Storage
Wipe the outer shell and headband with a dry or lightly damp cloth after use. Clean the memory foam ear seals with a dry cloth to remove sweat and debris — avoid soaking the foam or using solvent-based cleaners that can degrade the leather facing. Remove the AAA batteries when storing the earmuffs for extended periods to prevent battery corrosion inside the compartment. Store folded in the optional carry case (available with the With Case variant) or in a dry bag away from direct sunlight. Inspect the ear seal edges periodically for any gaps or wear that could compromise the acoustic seal.
