When summer heat builds up in your garden, greenhouse, or patio, plants that need partial shade start to show the signs — scorched leaves, wilting, slowed growth. A reliable shade cloth lets you control how much sun reaches your plants or outdoor space without blocking airflow. This shade cloth is made from new HDPE fabric with a 45–50% shading rate, aluminium alloy eyelets spaced every 1 metre, and a construction that handles heat, UV exposure, and outdoor conditions over time.
Why It Stands Out
✓ 45–50% shading rate — blocks roughly half the incoming sunlight, helping reduce heat build-up without cutting off light entirely for shade-tolerant plants.
✓ New HDPE fabric — environment-friendly, odour-free, heat-resistant, and UV-resistant material built for long service time outdoors.
✓ Aluminium alloy eyelets — rust-proof metal eyelets spaced every 1 metre along all edges for secure, even attachment using ropes, zip ties, or hooks.
✓ Multiple sizes available — available in a wide range of dimensions from 1×1m up to 5×8m, so you can cover the exact area you need without excess waste.
✓ Four colour options — blackish green, black, deep green, and white, each suited to different garden aesthetics and light-filtering needs.
✓ Versatile applications — suitable for garden plant cover, pergola sun shading, swimming pool cover, balcony screening, and greenhouse use.
✓ Chemical-free construction — made without high-concern chemicals, safe for use around plants, people, and animals.

Where It Fits Best
This shade cloth works well in any outdoor setting where reducing direct sun exposure makes a practical difference. It is particularly suited to vegetable gardens and raised beds where leafy greens, herbs, and shade-tolerant plants benefit from partial cover during hot months. It also works effectively as a pergola or patio sun screen to reduce ambient temperature in outdoor seating areas, as a greenhouse cover to regulate interior heat without blocking all natural light, as a swimming pool cover to reduce water evaporation and debris, and as a balcony privacy and sun screen in urban settings. Its flexibility in sizing means it can be cut and secured to suit both small containers and large garden structures.
How the Shading Works
The knitted HDPE mesh structure filters incoming sunlight by blocking approximately 45–50% of direct solar radiation. This reduces both the light intensity and the radiant heat reaching the surface below, which helps lower soil temperature, slow moisture evaporation, and reduce leaf burn on sensitive plants. The open mesh construction allows air to circulate freely through the fabric, which prevents heat from being trapped underneath and keeps conditions more stable than solid covers. The aluminium alloy eyelets anchor the cloth to fixed points every metre, and the material can be stretched taut or draped loosely depending on the installation method and the structure available.

How to Install and Position It
Measure the area you want to cover and select the appropriate size. Secure the shade cloth to existing structures — fence posts, greenhouse frames, pergola beams, garden hoops, or wall-mounted hooks — using rope, zip ties, or clips through the aluminium eyelets spaced every 1 metre. For plant beds, drape the cloth directly over hoops or a frame above the plants, leaving enough clearance for air movement. For pool or balcony use, stretch the cloth taut between anchor points so it does not sag under water pooling after rain. The cloth can be removed and stored at the end of the season. Note that PVC products have a normal dimensional tolerance of 5–20cm due to manual measurement.

Cleaning and Care
Rinse the shade cloth with water to remove dust, debris, or soil. For heavier soiling, hand wash with mild soap and rinse thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or solvents that may degrade the HDPE fibres. Allow the cloth to dry completely before storing to prevent mould or mildew build-up. Store folded in a dry location during winter or extended periods of non-use. The aluminium alloy eyelets do not require any special treatment and will not rust under normal outdoor conditions.
