SECURE CHECKOUT

Setting up a trail camera used to mean running back to check it every few days, swapping batteries constantly, and missing half the action because the trigger was too slow. This wildlife trail camera changes all of that — a 0.3-second trigger captures animals before they clear the frame, 36 infrared LEDs provide clear night vision up to 20 metres without disturbing wildlife, and the built-in 5000mAh rechargeable lithium battery keeps it running in the field for months without a single battery swap.

Why It Stands Out
  • 0.3-second trigger speed — the three-sensor PIR system detects motion and fires the shutter in 0.3 seconds, fast enough to capture deer, elk, and smaller wildlife before they move out of the frame; most missed shots on trail cameras happen because the trigger is too slow
  • 36-piece 850nm infrared LEDs — 20m / 65ft night vision — the IR array illuminates up to 20 metres in complete darkness without emitting visible light that spooks animals; night photos are captured in black and white, day photos in full colour
  • 120° PIR detection + 90° lens field of view — the wide-angle PIR sensors cover a 120° arc so the camera detects movement across a broader zone than the lens captures; nothing approaches from the side undetected
  • 16MP photos + 1080P Full HD video — captures sharp, detailed images at 16MP and full HD video with audio so you get both still evidence and moving footage of wildlife activity at your location
  • 5000mAh rechargeable lithium battery — up to 8 months standby — the included 5000mAh lithium battery charges via standard USB (mobile phone charger, not included) and can be charged inside the camera or separately; standby current draws only 0.2mA so it lasts months between charges
  • IP65 waterproof — operates from -20°C to 75°C — the sealed IP65-rated housing handles Canadian rain, snow, and freezing temperatures; the operating range covers everything from a -20°C winter night to a summer heatwave
  • Multi-shot burst — up to 9 photos per trigger — set the camera to capture 1, 3, 6, or 9 photos per detection event to ensure you get at least one perfectly composed shot regardless of how fast the animal moves
  • 2-inch TFT display with 4-digit PIN security — review images and videos directly on the built-in screen in the field without needing a laptop; the 4-digit PIN prevents others from accessing your footage if the camera is found
  • Timelapse mode + multiple recording modes — choose between photo only, video only, combined photo+video, or timelapse to suit your monitoring needs; timelapse is ideal for long-term observation of feeding areas or property entrances
Where to Use It
  • Hunting scouting — set on deer trails, food plots, or scrapes before season to pattern animal movement and identify entry and exit routes without spending time in the field and leaving scent
  • Wildlife monitoring and photography — document nocturnal wildlife activity on your property, acreage, or wilderness lot without disturbing natural behaviour
  • Farm and property surveillance — monitor livestock, outbuildings, gates, and remote entrances; the motion detection and night vision cover areas without power or internet access
  • Cabin and cottage security — place at the entrance of a remote cabin to capture anyone approaching; the 4-digit PIN protects footage and the IP65 housing survives unattended outdoor exposure year-round
  • Garden and yard monitoring — identify which animals are raiding your garden, compost, or bird feeders at night so you can address the problem
  • Research and nature observation — document seasonal wildlife patterns, breeding behaviour, and species presence on a property over months of continuous operation

How It Works
  1. PIR motion detection: Three passive infrared sensors continuously scan a 120° arc in front of the camera. When a warm-bodied animal or person moves through this zone, the temperature differential triggers the shutter in 0.3 seconds. The PIR interval setting (1 second to 1 minute) controls how long the camera waits before it can trigger again, preventing thousands of redundant shots from a stationary heat source.
  2. Infrared night vision: When ambient light drops below the threshold, the camera automatically switches to night mode. The 36 infrared LEDs emit 850nm light — invisible to the human eye and to most animals — illuminating the scene up to 20 metres away. The sensor captures this reflected IR light and produces a clear black-and-white image or video without any visible flash.
  3. Rechargeable lithium battery system: The 5000mAh lithium battery slots directly into the camera. In standby mode the camera draws only 0.2mA, giving it up to 8 months of standby life on a full charge. The battery can be recharged via USB either inside the camera or removed and charged separately using a standard phone charger (not included). An external 6V/1.5A power input is also available for permanent installation.

How to Use
  1. Insert a Micro SD card (up to 32GB, not included) into the card slot — format the card in the camera before first use using the menu
  2. Insert the fully charged 5000mAh lithium battery — charge it first via USB using a standard phone charger (not included) until the indicator turns green
  3. Set the date, time, and your preferred resolution, mode, and PIR sensitivity using the 2-inch TFT display and menu buttons
  4. Mount the camera on a tree or post using the included strap, aimed at your target zone — position 60–90cm above the ground for deer-level detection and angle slightly downward
  5. Set the PIR interval to 1 second for active areas with frequent traffic, or longer intervals for locations where you want to conserve battery and card space
  6. Switch to ARM/ON mode — the camera will enter standby and trigger automatically on motion; the red LED blinks briefly during the setup countdown then goes dark
  7. Return to check footage — review images on the built-in screen, or remove the SD card and read it on a computer or card reader
  8. Tip: For hunting scouting, set PIR sensitivity to Medium rather than High — High sensitivity in open areas with wind can trigger hundreds of false shots from moving vegetation

Care and Maintenance
  • ✓ Before storing for extended periods, remove the battery and store separately in a cool dry location — lithium batteries degrade faster when stored fully depleted or in heat
  • ✓ Clean the lens and IR LED array with a dry microfibre cloth — avoid touching the lens directly as fingerprints reduce image clarity, especially at night
  • ✓ Format the SD card in the camera (not on a computer) at the start of each season to prevent file system errors and missed triggers
  • ✓ Inspect the rubber seals on the housing door before each deployment — replace if cracked or deformed to maintain IP65 waterproofing
  • ✓ In extreme cold below -10°C, battery capacity will reduce — carry a spare charged battery for longer deployments in Canadian winter conditions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this camera work in complete darkness?
Yes. The camera has 36 infrared LEDs that operate at 850nm — a wavelength invisible to humans and most animals. In complete darkness the camera automatically switches to night mode and uses this IR illumination to capture clear black-and-white images and video up to 20 metres (65 feet) away without any visible flash or glow.
What SD card do I need and is one included?
The camera uses a Micro SD card up to 32GB in capacity (not included). Any Class 10 Micro SD card up to 32GB from a reputable brand will work. Before first use, format the card inside the camera using the menu — do not format it on a computer as this can cause file system compatibility issues.
How long does the battery last in the field?
In standby mode the camera draws only 0.2mA from the 5000mAh lithium battery, giving up to 8 months of standby life. Actual runtime depends on how frequently the camera triggers — a high-traffic location with many triggers per day will drain the battery faster than a quiet location. The battery charges via USB using a standard phone charger (not included) and can be charged either inside the camera or removed and charged separately.
Will this camera survive Canadian winters?
Yes. The camera is rated IP65 waterproof and operates from -20°C to 75°C, covering the full range of Canadian outdoor conditions from winter deployment through summer heat. Note that lithium battery capacity reduces in extreme cold below -10°C, so for extended winter deployments in very cold regions consider carrying a spare charged battery.
Can I view photos without a computer?
Yes. The camera has a built-in 2-inch TFT display that lets you review photos and video directly on the unit in the field. You can also connect to a TV via the TV-out port, or remove the SD card and read it on a computer or card reader. There is no app or Wi-Fi connectivity on this model — all viewing is done on the screen or via SD card.
How do I stop the camera triggering on wind-blown vegetation?
Set the PIR motion sensitivity to Medium or Low in the menu. High sensitivity is useful in low-traffic areas where you want to catch every small movement, but in open areas with grass or branches in the frame it will trigger frequently from vegetation movement. Medium sensitivity significantly reduces false triggers while still capturing all warm-bodied animals reliably. Also ensure no branches or grass are within 2 metres of the camera lens.
